Copying a formula across many columns

One of my best sources for blog post ideas are questions I get from participants. So last week I got a question about how to copy across a formula across many columns. What I suggested was using Ctrl and R but I suspect there may be people out there with better ideas..but if this is something you have to do..see if this would help.

It’s a short video (under 2 minutes) but it might help you at some stage.

If you found this blog useful, why not give it a share?

  1. HI Anne,

I did the intermediate excel course with you earlier this year – and I should definitely know how to do this- but I am getting stuck- I just cannot seem to get a formula to copy down a column without it changing to what was in the original cell- no matter what I do with $ etc

Is there anyway I could send you a screenshot of the formula?

    Many thanks
