In this tutorial I want to show you how to apply Conditional Formatting to your pivot table. It is a quick and easy way to draw the eye to outlying numbers.
- Right click on one of the numbers in the pivot table
- Choose Home | Conditional Formatting
- Choose Colour Scales from the dropdown and choose the first one.
- This will apply the conditional formatting to ONE cell.
- To apply it to all the cells, do a right click on that cell and select the third option down. This will apply the colour coding to all the numbers.
- To remove it, click on a number again in the pivot table and from Home | Clear Rules and Clear rules from this pivot table.
